Picture this: In the 1990s, the BMW M3 had a chunky, cubic design, a total classic for its time. Fast forward to 2025, and we now have the BMW Series 7: sleek, smooth, powerful, and evolved. The engine? Upgraded. The interior? Refined. The entire experience? Transformed.Â
But now let’s turn the camera toward the classroom. It still looks the same. Desks in rows. Students raising hands. Chalkboards or whiteboards at the front. It’s been decades… and yet, education hasn't had its version of a Series 7.Â
That’s exactly why Enlighten VR was born.Â
Enlighten VR is a virtual reality learning platform designed to upgrade education through immersive experiences. I created this platform to bridge the gap between traditional learning and emerging technology, giving students and educators the chance to interact with their subjects in 3D virtual environments, rather than just reading from flat textbooks.Â
But here's the real story: I built this platform, using limited equipment with help from my mentors, driven purely by passion and purpose. Knowing that not everyone, including myself, can afford a VR headset, I ensured the application is also accessible on mobile devices, so no one gets left behind. Inclusion is not an afterthought; it’s built in. Â
Â

One of the key focus areas is tackling SDG 4 (Quality Education) by providing modern learning tools to underserved communities. And as a young Nigerian woman leading a tech innovation project, I’m proudly pushing forward SDG 5 (Gender Equality), proving that girls belong in the world of STEM and beyond.Â
To date, over 150 students and Individuals have engaged with Enlighten VR, many experiencing VR for the first time. From presenting the project to leaders like Bill Gates, Antony Blinken, Bosun Tijani, Gafar Lawal, and many more, to hosting hands-on demos in schools, local communities, and hubs etc, this journey continues to show that youth can lead bold, tech-powered change right from where they are.Â
I’m not just building a product. I’m building the future, one headset, one mobile, one human at a time.Â
