The world's ocean is essential to life on our planet. Billions of people depend on it for their livelihoods. Yet human activity is increasingly putting the health of this critical natural resource in peril. Over the next 5 years we will pick up 1 million pieces of rubbish from Commonwealth oceans and waterways, protecting this unique environment for future generations.
The 'Out of the Blue' photography competition was launched on World Oceans Day 2015 by HRH The Prince of Wales. The photographs showcase the importance of our marine environment, the value it brings and the threats it is facing.
