Each year we are delighted to celebrate the Winners and Runners-up of The Queen's Commonwealth Essay Competition, the world's oldest international writing competition for schools, proudly delivered by the Royal Commonwealth Society since 1883.

For the last few years the Awards Ceremony has taken place at Buckingham Palace and we are privileged to have the support of our Vice-Patron Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall who has congratulated the winners and presented them with their awards.

The theme for the 2021 competition is 'Community in the Commonwealth' and we look forward to announcing the winners and sharing their winning entries with you in due course.

Please note the date, time and venue of the Awards Ceremony is TBC.

In the meantime why not re-watch the 2020 Awards Ceremony which featured contributions from RCS Ambassadors, Geri Horner, David Walliams, Gyles Brandreth, Alexandra Burke and Lewis Pugh, as well as from British actor and writer, Stephen Fry, and Bollywood actress, Kareena Kapoor.
